The popular Volvo XC60 is one of the cars that have helped bring the Swedish builder to prominence in the luxury sector. Now, in its second generation, the XC60 remains one of the strongest entries of its segment. A single plug-in hybrid variant promises great power without sacrificing efficiency.
Volvo is serious to save the planet. The company has engaged in a range of climate-related initiatives, electrification each redesigned car and SUV introduced from 2020 to make the entire society and all its carbon neutral operations by 2040 . Volvo also expects half of its global sales to be electric vehicles by 2025, with the other half hybrids.
As part of this plan, starting with the model year 2021, the range of hybrid electric vehicles with Volvo plug-in (PHEV) and electric vehicles (EVS) will bring the name “Refill”.
The XC60 is dressed for any occasion. It telegraphs a cool style and collected with a luxury subtlety that comes from almost perfect proportions to fair metal trim pieces. The interior is the showcase of this style: it is glamorous but low key, dressed in nutty woods and bright tonic leather in the most attractive versions.
Like the three-row xc90, the five-seater XC60 offers a distinctly minimalist luxury catch with a fresh floating wood trim, a brown leather trim and a dash that is mainly free of buttons.
The Thronelike Front Seats of the XC60 are covered with leather and surrounded by a beautiful wooden trim. They are softly favorable and can be heated and cooled. The rear seat has lost its heating option, but it is still spacious enough for three adults, with a sufficient cargo rise behind them.
Volvo is suitable for all XC60 with automatic braking, blind tip monitors and adaptive cruising control. Everyone also gets a 9.0-inch Infotainment screen compatible with Apple Carplay and Android Auto.
